I was raised in Neenah, Wisconsin, lived in Chicago after college for 14 years, and now call Madison my home. When I was little, my Grandpa John called me “Fivepennies.” My blog is a work in progress, as each of us is as we journey through life. I write about scraps of life, those little moments that surprise me, whether raising & homeschooling my five children (aged 22 months to twelve years), running, cooking , current craft projects or just a favorite memory. I enjoy family, food, and community, and believe that everyone’s story is important.
